July 4th - My 35th Birthday

It has always been great having my birthday on the 4th of July...and this year was not an exception! For the last Five years we have had our annual 92nd Street Celebration on the 4th. A very illigeal amount of fireworks...lots of food and friends! Always amazing. We had a great time...although the rain did cut our night a little short. The kids sure did love playing hide and go seek in the rain!! This is the first year that all my friends sang me Happy Birthday in the driveway..that was fun!!

My New Camera

So I have this hobby...I love taking pictures! Always have. I have started taking pictures of families and kids and misc things...and have the need for an updated camera. I bought a Digital Canon Rebel about 5 years ago and I treasured it. It was an amazing camera back then, but with the years passing technology has passed me by several times. Jeff was determined I was going to get a new camera for my birthday and decided one day to drive me out to buy it. I bought my Canon 5D Mark II at Nebraska Furniture Mart. It truly is an amazing piece of equipment and has allowed me to take my photography to a whole new level! I have had the privilege to get Photo Passes at all the bike nights for up close shots of all the bands. That has been exciting!

William Jewell College - Basketball Camp

Sarah got to attend her first overnight camp in June. Oh man, was she excited. She got to stay in the dorms at William Jewell for 4 night, 5 days. She had her own key and her own schedule. She had her own Cell Phone. When did my little girl grow up? This camp was for Basketball and was intense. She played Basketball from sunrise to sunset. We are so proud of her and everything she has accomplished. She really has become a great Basketball player...actually the star of her team!
